The OPPO Reno12 series is set to launch globally and in India soon. These phones were already launched in China last month, and OPPO has confirmed that they will be available in other regions. Although the exact launch date hasn’t been announced, a well-known tipster has leaked some key details about the OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro models. The leaked images of the OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro, shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, show designs similar to the models released in China. The Reno12 has a display curved on the left and right edges, while the Chinese variant has curves on all four edges like the Reno12 Pro. Both models feature a sleek look with a triple rear camera setup and flat edges. The power and volume buttons are positioned on the right side of the phone. The leaked images show the phones in two colors out of the three that were launched in China.

The OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are expected to have a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. These screens will have a resolution of 1080×2412 pixels and can reach up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The Reno12’s display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the Reno12 Pro will use Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability.


Both models will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC, featuring a Mali G615 GPU. It is an upgrade for the Reno12 compared to the Dimensity 7050 in the Reno11 but a slight step down for the Reno12 Pro from the Dimensity 8200 in the Reno11 Pro. Both models will come with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. They will run on Android 14 with OPPO’s ColorOS 14.1.


The camera setups are impressive. The Reno12 and Reno12 Pro will have a 50-megapixel primary camera with Sony’s LYT-600 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). The 8-megapixel ultrawide camera will use a Sony IMX355 sensor. For the Reno12, there’s a 2-megapixel Macro camera and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The Reno12 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel front camera, making it ideal for high-quality selfies and detailed zoom shots.
